What the application does

VPS Backup is a private, single-user backup tool operated by its owner for the owner's own server. It uploads encrypted backup archives to the owner's own Google Drive account and reads them back when a restore is needed.

Google user data accessed

The application requests only the Google Drive scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. With it, the application can only see and manage files that it created itself. It does not access any other files, contacts, e-mail or profile data.

How the data is used and stored

• Backup archives are encrypted on the server before upload; Google Drive only stores the encrypted data.
• The OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored only on the owner's server, readable only by the administrator.
• No Google user data is sold, shared with or transferred to third parties, and none is used for advertising or for training any model.

Revoking access and deletion

Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The backup files can be deleted directly in Google Drive.
